Bunkering a visiting yacht at Roosevelt Roads

The cost savings for mega-yachts bunkering directly with Puerto Rico's tank farms compared to filling up at a marina's fuel dock is nothing short of spectacular. We can arrange the bunkering in a port near the USVI such as Yabucoa or if the yacht is on the way along the south coast we can bunker at Guyanilla. Ultra low suffer diesel is tested for impurities and often for yachts we use 8000 gallon tank deliveries overland because a direct connection to the tank farm, as we do with larger vessels, require more quantities than yachts are able to use.

Yachts are bunkered very quickly using tanker vans. All the equipment for preventing oil slicks are brought with the bunkering company. We can rig floating dams around the yacht and put down oil absorbing mats. Every care is taken so that the vessel can bunker quickly and continue on their voyage.

You can see by this map of Puerto Rico showing the three ports which have large tank farms for bunkering that vessels in the Puerto Rico area have a port on the south coast, on the north coast and an the east coast where they can quickly get in for a fast fuel stop.
